Economic Zone
The Mekong Special Economic Zone (Mekong
SEZ) spans 990,000 square meters and is strategically located in Cambodia,
just 60 kilometers from the capital, Phnom Penh. It offers excellent
connectivity to major highways, ports, railways, and an international airport.
Among its many advantages, businesses operating
within the Mekong SEZ benefit from a 0% corporate income tax rate for up to the first nine years, followed by a
reduced tax rate of
5%–15% for the subsequent six years. Additional incentives include a
10-year exemption from import duties on equipment and materials used within
the zone, as well as VAT exemptions on imported raw materials, machinery,
and other production inputs intended for export.
The
Mekong SEZ offers various land parcel sizes, with land
use rights granted for 50 years, renewable for an additional 50 years.
